Improving Access Plan

We know GP surgeries are seeing more patients than before the pandemic and Practice Teams are working harder than ever before.

We know patients are struggling to get appointments via access to the telephone, the website or face-to-face.

We, Sandhills PCN, want to understand the reasons for the increased demand and look at ways we can improve access for patients and the workload of our Teams.

We have looked at  feedback from patients and staff using a variety of sources and have, with our PPG, identified a number of measures we can take to help both patients and teams alike.

We have focused on access to telephone, appointments and the Practices’ websites.
